Miriam Sevilla, MD graduated from The University of Granada, Faculty of Medicine, Spain and holds a Double Board Certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Sevilla completed her General Psychiatry Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York and her Child and Adolescent Fellowship at the University of Alabama Birmingham, where she was Chief Resident.

She has been practicing medicine for over 12 years with extensive experience in diverse settings including hospital inpatient care, outpatient community mental health, telepsychiatry, and teaching facilities. She has been Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama Birmingham, the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, and has been involved in clinical education of medical students, psychiatry residents, physician assistant students, and nurse practitioners in several institutions. She earned a prestigious Red Sash Award, which is an award voted on by the graduating medical student class and given to a select group of faculty members whom students feel have contributed most meaningfully to their medical education.

Dr. Sevilla is passionate about providing education to patients and their families about mental health as well as creating a new generation of providers with excellent knowledge in psychiatry to increase mental health services.

Dr. Sevilla is bilingual (English and Spanish) and one of her goals is to continue to increase mental health awareness in the Hispanic community. She maintains active medical licenses in Florida, Alabama, and North Carolina.
